Dental Fillings in Inglewood CA

Woman at Dentist | Dental Fillings Lynwood CANo matter how good you are about brushing and flossing, at some point, you may get a cavity. If and when you do, the team at PhD Dental is here to provide the treatment you need with natural-looking tooth-colored composite fillings.

We know that many people have dental anxiety that makes it difficult for them to seek treatment when they need it. Our goal is to help you achieve your healthiest smile in a warm and comfortable setting that lets you relax and get the care you need.

Why We Choose Tooth-Colored Fillings

When you get a cavity, we need to remove the decayed material and fill the tooth as soon as possible. If we don’t treat a cavity right away, the decay will spread deeper into your tooth and cause discomfort and even more damage.

One of the reasons we choose tooth-colored fillings is that they are a composite or blend of glass and resin particles that makes them look a lot like dental enamel. Our dentists match the composite to the shade of your teeth, then fill the cavity and shape the filling to look so natural that even you won’t be able to find the repair!

Because we bond the filling material directly to your tooth, it creates a strong repair without having to remove too much healthy tooth structure. Composites look better than silver amalgam fillings, and they also resist fracturing that’s common with silver fillings.

Cosmetic Dental Bonding Improves Smile Flaws

Cavities | Dental Fillings Lynwood CASince tooth-colored composite fillings look so natural, we can also use them to improve certain smile flaws:

  • Fill in chipped or broken teeth
  • Conceal stained or discolored teeth
  • Close small gaps and spaces
  • Reshape a tooth for a better appearance

Using cosmetic bonding, we can also recommend direct veneers. Unlike porcelain veneers that are made at an outside dental lab, we use the tooth-colored material to cover the surface of your teeth and hide imperfections.

Direct veneers can often be placed in just one appointment, making them more affordable than lab veneers. However, they will need to be removed and replaced every five years or so.
